F.A.Q.

Common questions about C4, cosplay, costumes, and props. Shop and merch questions were intentionally removed from this static version.

General Questions

What does C4 stand for?

C4 is just a type of explosive. We came up with a ton of different names before dismissing the idea of actually naming what the C stands for. In the end we decided to keep it short and sweet: C4 Explosive.

How many years have you been cosplaying and what got you started?

Individually, members of the group started cosplaying around 2010-2012. We have been cosplaying together as an unnamed group since 2016. Some of us started to make costumes we do not normally see at conventions; others wanted to make the biggest standout costumes we could.

What is your view of the cosplay scene?

Cosplay is always evolving. We see bought costumes, body suits, and cheaper online costumes, and that is fine if it fits your budget. We also love seeing the costumes that stand out from the rest. Stay safe, stay vigilant, and you can have the time of your life.

How can I help spread the word about C4 Cosplay & Props?

Please share our projects on social media, tell your friends, and ask them to tell their friends. Tell anyone you know who loves cool stuff. Thank you in advance for every bit of support.

Am I awesome?

Probably. Sharing our posts or photos with us is a pretty good way to solidify that status.

Costumes & Props

Can you make a cosplay or prop for me?

We do take commissions for large costumes and props when the project is a good fit. Finished projects are the result of a team working hundreds of combined hours with a high investment in materials.

Can I buy your costumes or props?

Some costumes and props may be available in very limited quantities. We do not have a factory to mass produce anything. Everything is custom made.

Can you make me a well-known costume?

It depends on the costume. We generally avoid massively popular costumes or pieces that are readily available from other creators or actual products.
